Ms. Kong Wen Yuan graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Dietetics with Nutrition from International Medical University (IMU), which is Malaysia’s first and most established private medical and healthcare university over 30 years. She completed a year-long training as a clinical, community, and food service dietitian. She excels in addressing prevalent community health issues, particularly non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, and cancer.

Ms. Kong Wen Yuan executed nutrition care process and medical nutrition therapy for inpatients and outpatients with various chronic illnesses. During clinical training, she conducted nutritional assessments and devised personalized diet plans. Moreover, she conducted a focus group discussion on gestational diabetes (diabetes during pregnancy), created educational materials, provided nutrition education and counseling to increase patients’ knowledge in disease management especially on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) during her community training at Klinik Kesihatan Ampangan, Seremban.

During her degree at IMU, she organized a virtual health talk titled “Gout and Diet: Stop the Pain!” addressing lifestyle improvements for managing gout. Additionally, she initiated a nutrition promotion program to tackle community-specific nutrition concerns.

She aspires to provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and nutrition education and counseling to clients and the community. Driven by passion, she empowers the public with nutritional knowledge for daily healthy lifestyle choices.
