Ms Jei Shuen is a consultant dietitian which graduated with Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics with nutrition from IMU (International Medical University). During her 4 years of study, she had been educated extensively on MNT (Medical Nutrition Therapy), Pathophysiology, Nutrition education and counselling, Food service management and also Community nutrition. By consolidating her knowledge, she had been gone through different placements such as: food service placement in Pantai Hospital Ampang, clinical placement in Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban, community placement in Beacon Hospital as well as specialized focused area placement (which include every settings to be learned) in Columbia Asia Puchong.

During the placement, she gained an understanding in different settings as well as acquiring her skills (education and counseling skill) in her expertise especially she had been consulted few patients and clients regardless of inpatients or outpatients. By meeting different patients and diseases, she has become more proficient in developing menu planning and also consulting clients or patients for individualized plan.

‘Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food’ had been the quote that always come into her mind as her goal is to gain rapport from communities on roles of dietitian in healthcare settings and also spread the idea of people can heal or slowly recovering from changing their diet and lifestyle.
