Ms. Lew Jei Shuen graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Dietetics with Nutrition from International Medical University (IMU). Throughout her four years of study, she extensively learned about Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), pathophysiology, nutrition education and counseling, food service management, and community nutrition.
She consolidated her knowledge through various placements, including food service at Pantai Hospital Ampang, clinical training at Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban, community nutrition at Beacon Hospital, and specialized areas at Columbia Asia Puchong.
Throughout her placement, she diligently honed her educational and counseling prowess across a spectrum of settings. Engaging with a myriad of patients and clients, spanning both inpatient and outpatient realms, has enriched her adeptness in crafting tailored menu plans and delivering personalized consultations that cater to the unique needs of individuals.
The timeless wisdom of ‘Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food’ serves as a guiding principle for her. Moreover, she endeavors to foster connections within communities, advocating for the pivotal role of dietitians in healthcare contexts.
